First ER trip

Caught Gavin playing on the computer the next morning too

The next morning "All Better"
Heading to the ER

While I was at Zumba class on Monday night, Gavin fell into a wall in our dinning room and split his head wide open. We headed to the ER and 3 hours later we came out with 3 stitches. The worst part was holding Gavin down while the doctor stitched him up. My heart broke watching him scream bloody murder. He kept yelling "Da-Da". It was really sad. But once it was over we calmed him down, and he has been back to his happy self ever since. I'm afraid this might be the first of many for this wild man. :)

Fathers Day weekend

We had a great Fathers Day weekend. It was jam packed!!! Gavin loves being at my parents house in Texas. If I would let him he would play outside all day. We went to the park, swimming, and the zoo. He loved every minute of it. Me, Mom, Hailey, and Keisha went and saw Wicked. It was amazing!!!!! My favorite so far. Then we meet back up with the boy's and headed to Olive Garden. Love those bread sticks. Sunday was church and lunch. Hailey made Shawn a shutterfly picture book of Gavin. It made him cry. Considering I've only seen Shawn cry like 5 or 6 times, it was a big deal. It made his day. It was a great weekend.

Hailey's Graduation Party

Hailey made these. She is so talented
outside tables

Gavin in the ice chest before the party started

We had sooo much fun planning and pulling this party off. Of course my mom worked her booty off, but everything looked so great. We dipped everything we could in chocolate, and then had yummy barbecue too. It was a great turn out. All Gavin did the entire night was play in the ice chest. He was in it before the party and during too. People would come to get a drink and he would get mad. It was a fun filled day.

Hailey's Graduation

Well the last of 7 graduated. We went all out for her party, but there are so many pictures it needs a post of it's own. Gavin was great during the ceremony and Hailey gave the closing prayer. First kid to be sitting on the stage too. I'm so proud of her. She is going to do great next year at BYU.

A little bit of this and that

We have been really busy lately. Shawn's best friend Chris graduated from officer school in Lawton, Oklahoma. If was really fun to have Chris be so close to us for the last few months. We saw him almost every weekend. Shawn was in hog heaven. They haven't spent this much time together since their missions. It was fun for me to watch them tell all their stories and make future plans. We love that family. We have also been swimming alot. Gavin loves the the water. I think we will be in the water alot this summer. Works out great for me and my tan. :) Shawn finished up his second year of law school. One more left. Woohoo!!! We spent time in Texas watching my mom's daycare kids while they were in Europe. The last few weeks we have just been getting into a summer schedule at home. We love summer around here. Shawn is with us everyday all day.

Blue Bonnets

This is a picture of Gavin yelling at someone. We are working on that. :)

A few weeks ago, we decided to take Gavin out and try and get some pictures in the Blue Bonnets. It's a tradition in Texas. (State Flower) I was hoping to get a good one to send out, but as you can see below this kid is hard to photograph right now. :) They turned out pretty cute, just not sending out worthy cute. This child is such a Miller it's not even funny. He looks nothing like me. I love it though. Spitting image!!!Enjoy

Easter

This is sooo late, but I figured even though I couldn't get a good picture of Gavin I still needed to document his Easter. This kid will not sit still. Every time I would put the basket next to him, he would dig in. Yea, 3 hours of church trying to get him to sit on my lap is so much fun. Anyways, enough about the busy bee. We had a great Easter. We watched conference, and were pretty lazy. I don't even think we got out of our PJ's all day. Gavin of course loved his basket that the Easter Bunny left. He has been playing with the plastic eggs ever since. It was sad for me to remember last Easter when we blessed Gavin in church. He was so tiny!!! I love the stage that he is in now, but I also miss a baby being around. He is getting so funny. Here a few cute things he is doing lately.
  • He loves to turn on/off the lights or "Yights" as he says
  • When I tell him we are going bye bye, he starts saying bye bye over and over again, and walks to the front door.
  • He loves to wrestle with a pillow. It is so funny
  • He is getting into everything, EVERYTHING
  • Once gavin is up in the morning Shawn will bring him into our room to wake me up. He puts gavin on our bed, and Gavin crawls as fast as he can saying "mama", and gives me a kiss. Now that is a great way to wake up!!!
  • He is starting to run.
  • He loves being outside
  • He won't keep his shoes on. He would rather be playing with them
  • He flirts with everyone
  • He has four teeth on top, and three on the bottom
  • He loves reading books. Over and Over
  • He laughs the hardest when Shawn throws him up in the air
  • Still not a fan of veggies.
  • He loves bath time, and never wants to get out
My list could go on and on. I love being a mom. We are having so much fun being parents. What a blessing!!! PS:I hate my camera. One of the first things I'm doing when we are out of law school, and Shawn has a job is buying a new camera. This one is not cutting it. :)
