First doctors appt

I had my first doctors appointment for baby #2 Feb 7th. I really put if off as long as I could. Everything is looking great. My official due date is Aug. 13th. My doctor said the baby has a really strong heart beat, and we even got to take a little peak of him/her. I love the first ultrasound. It makes everything seem real, and I'm overwhelmed with having another miracle to love, teach, and protect. We can hardly wait to find out what it will be. I think it's another boy. :) Time will tell


Today Feb. 21st, I took my first prego picture. I'm still in the "chubby" stage, but showing soooo much early than with Gavin. I think I looked like this around 25 weeks with Gavin, I'm 15 1/2 weeks now. I know it's pretty common to show earlier with number 2, and to be honest I'm excited. I waited such a long time to really start showing with Gavin. I started showing and 5 weeks later had him. This baby will definitely be different. 3 more weeks until we find out boy or girl!!!!

On his birthday

Gavin turned 3 today. How in the world is this possible!?!? He really is so much fun. I love being his mom. He is so full of life, laughing and running constantly, and one of the funniest 3 year olds I know. Don't worry, I'm not biased or anything. :) His personality is to die for. He really is a little smarty pants, which is going to get him in some trouble over the years. Who am I kidding, this is already happening. I'm afraid he is going to be that boy that gets his work done first, and then becomes the class clown. (cough cough, just like his father, cough cough). He is about the cutest dang thing we have ever seen (there's a little Texas girl talk for you) and to be honest, we are quite obsessed. We love being his parents, love watching him grow up, and can hardly believe he is already 3 with Big Brother status in the near future.

For Gavin's birthday we partied like rock star's this year. By the time his birthday week was over we were exhausted!!! I'm a firm believer in making birthdays a big deal. Not that they have to cost a lot of money, just doing everything possible to make it special. So, this year Gavin's birthday week included donuts(with singing happy b-day), story time at the library with friends and McDonald's (singing again), family birthday party at chuck-e-cheese (cake, presents, and more singing). Yes, that was all in one day. That night he heard Gavin singing Happy Birthday to him myself as he fell asleep. Then, on Friday we had a few of his friends come with us to Jump for fun. It's a indoor bounce house place. They have everything from slides, obstacle course, and basketball, all blown up with air. Pretty much a 3 year olds HEAVEN. We ended the day with lunch, more presents, and singing once again. It was so much fun. He felt really special, and that is truly the purpose of a Birthday. :)

His lizard!!!!! There is a story behind this. It involves a huge fit outside of Toys R Us, and constant questions, "where is my green lizard," until he got it for his Birthday. This child does not forget things.

Oh baby baby

We are sooooo excited to announce we will be adding to our family. I'm 13 weeks, and feel pretty good. Lucky for me my pregnancies are pretty easy. Don't get me wrong, I have my days of "blah" but over all it's no biggie. I'm just a little more tired, nothing sounds good, and my tummy feels a little uneasy at times. Smells have not been my friend lately, which is different than with Gavin. I'm able to workout still, keeping my fingers crossed I can do this all nine months. I'm starting to show a lot earlier this time. I'm already in maternity clothes, although I haven't gained any weight yet. Hallelujah!!! With Gavin I started wearing maternity clothes around 23-24 weeks, so this is a big change mentally for me. Although I'm due in August, it's actually a great time to have a baby in Idaho. The summer's are hot, but nothing compared to Texas. Plus baby will be 4-5 months old before winter comes. I love being pregnant, and just feel extremely blessed to be able to bring another life into this world. We are thrilled for Gavin to have a sibling. He is going to be the best big brother.
